This stock has a very tight lock up when folded or extended. However, the stock as I received it has no release button or lever to unlock the hinge. The powerful spring providing the aforementioned tight lockup is very difficult to overcome without a tool, very inconvenient. Also expect fitting to be required for installation. Mine needed reducing the diameter of the head of 1 of the attaching screws and filing of the portion of the stock that is inserted into the guns receiver.
